5e Dmg Potion Miscibility
Potion Miscibility (Random Alternative Effects, basically) - posted in Skyrim Mod Requests: Potion Miscibility is apparently something out of DnD first edition. Now I wouldnt know, I didnt play em, but I love the concept. Basically whenever you chug multiple potions, theres a chance for alternate hazardous (or helpful) effects to occur because the two potions you drank are mixing in your belly. When you drink this potion, you gain the effect of the detect thoughts spell (save DC 13). The potion’s dense, purple liquid has an ovoid cloud of pink floating in it. Potion of Poison. Potion, uncommon. This concoction looks, smells, and tastes like a potion of healing or other beneficial potion. However, it is actually poison masked by illusion magic.

- A successful attack of this sort can destroy the container, preventing the character from drinking the potion or applying the oil. A creature must be able to swallow a potion or smear on an oil. Because of this, incorporeal creatures cannot use potions or oils. Any corporeal creature can imbibe a potion or use an oil.
- Alchemy in D&D. Sometimes it’s presented as a skill. The (awesome) potion miscibility table in AD&D was a form of alchemy in its own right. And in fourth edition, various alchemical compounds found their way into the consumables catalog along with potions, scrolls, and whetstones. Now that I’m playing fifth edition.
- Effect - one hundred potion effects. Includes all the classics, plus a bunch more from which you can improvise. Miscibility - a potion miscibility table with a hundred different results. Significantly greater chance of things going wrong as compared to the classic table - might want to save this for the yahoo that drinks four potions at once.
